There are days when the energy flow is greater than others. We have all have had the experience of sitting down to work and nothing seems to go right. We struggle with the idea, format, medium, color, and just can’t get in the “zone”. Other days’ work just flows freely, and when it is it is time to wrap it up, all you can say is “Wow”!
I had that experience this week. I had an afternoon of nothing going right. I hated what I was doing, didn’t feel it was me anymore, and wanted to trash it. However, the instructor in me said…put it away and add it to the pile of “will finish someday”. To be honest that pile is getting pretty big.
I have no real explanation for this, other than the “vibrational energy” around us. The body is always changing in response to the stimuli of the world around us and within us. Sometimes this is very hard to control or identify. Since our energy flow reflects our state of mind it is helpful if we can get in touch with that which is happening within us. Because, it can stop the flow of creative energy.

So the next time you are tempted to “trash it” , save it. Put it in the pile of “to be finished someday”, and look at it again with fresh eyes and a renewed spirit. It could just turn into the one that the viewer wants to become part of, and spend a little time viewing.
